Live Projects
Live projects can always help to hone the skills; get a high paying job and get the type of career a student has always desired. It is becoming increasingly important to include practical experience in the resume to grab the dream job. Accepting this fact, the placement cell in SBS gives an opportunity to the students to work on various live projects. The details of some of the live projects are as follows:
- Mahalakshmi Saras 2019- India has rich cultural heritage and people have immense love for arts and handicrafts. To value the painstaking efforts and contributions of rural entrepreneurs and artisans, the Maharashtra government organises Mahalakshmi Saras
-an annual exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts, handlooms and food products. The initiative, over the last decade, has introduced over 5,000 Self Help Groups from various corners of the country to the urban consumers. Mahalakshmi Saras, 2019 was held between 23rdJanuary to 4thFebruary 2019 at MMRDA ground in Bandra, Mumbai.
SixPGDM Students got an opportunity to work on this live project which provided a platform for interaction and exchange of innovative ideas and also helped the students to acquire the skills of planning and managing excursions.
- Britannia Industry Project- Britannia industries offered an opportunity to work on two live projects namely General trade and Modern trade. The project focused on mapping and expanding Britannia's distribution coverage across Mumbai. This project enabled students in mapping and visiting all retail outlets in a specified territory and eventually addition of till-date retail outlets to Britannia's direct coverage network which is serviced through their local distributor.
PGDM students successfully completed this live project in the span of two months which enhanced their skills and gave them all practical exposure.
